YWAM: Gladstone, Brisbane & Toowoomba!

We got back from our Australia outreach last Monday and it was incredible! God worked in some really cool ways. Our first week we spent in Gladstone. We presented to seven school aged groups about modern day slavery and ways they can get involved to fight it. It was awesome to see students get empowered and excited about fighting injustice! It gives me so much joy and contentment to share about the things I’m passionate about.

Our second week was spent in Brisbane. We did:

• Prayer walks around the city.
• Hung out with the community.
• Presented to group of 300+ students about human trafficking.
• Spent time with residents at a home for those with mental disabilities.
• Handed out care packages door to door that included reference material for families and a bible.
• Did a concert for the YWAM base we stayed.

Our third week we volunteered to help set up for a Christian music festival called Easterfest in Toowoomba. Around 20,000-30,000 people were there! We just helped out with whatever was needed (working the box office, putting up tents, cleaning up the site, etc.) On Good Friday we watched ‘the Passion’ and it absolutely wrecked me. It just hit me how much God loves us and how He died to bring glory to God, freedom, and life to us and bring victory over the enemy.

Our team is absolutely incredible and we truly have become a family. We function in such unity and everyone displays maturity, humility and pours 100% into everything we do. It really blows me away and it’s such a joy to be on a team with them!
