Last Sunday or schools got back from two weeks of camping in Hidden Valley, Australia a.k.a. the "bush."
I’m not a camper, but I absolutely LOVED it. It was incredible to have everything stripped away- internet, air conditioning, makeup, Skype, distractions. People couldn't hide behind their computers and we were forced to get to know each other, which was awesome.
I had some really cool moments with God. Lately He has continually been affirming me in the fact He loves me, is proud of me, thinks I’m incredible and has set me apart. I just struggle so much with condemnation and feeling like I’m less than I ought to be and I’m disappointing God. He just keeps telling me that I’m not messing up and that I’m resting in the center of His will.
The topic of the second week while camping was Lordship. We had an incredible ministry time on Friday, March 9th, that lasted for about 12 hours. People were sharing about the things they had to surrender to God and simply working through that. It was POWERFUL to see people experience the freedom and love that come from God alone.
The following morning about 10 people got baptized. I got the opportunity to participate in baptism of two of my friends which was such an incredible experience.
This past week we have been back on base in Townsville. It’s been a stressful, exhausting week. I’m physically sick and I’m just stressed about preparing for outreach next week. All of our finances for outreach ($3,720) were also due this week, adding to the stress. I still have about $500 due but I have no doubt that God will provide. Already this week so much money has come in and God has truly provided! I know He is good and faithful and wont leave me hangin. It’s a really awesome feeling to have to be 100% dependent on Christ, trusting and leaning on Him with a childlike faith.
Anyways, tomorrow my team is off for Mackay, followed by Gladstone, Brisbane and then Toowoomba for Easterfest! Can’t wait to see what God will do the next 3 weeks.
